Train Smart this Spring with Polar

Whether you're preparing for your first 5K or a full marathon, remember that training smart will help you reach your goals. 'The faster, the better' does not always apply to training. It's more important to train at the right intensity to achieve the benefits you're looking for. Polar training computers help you in this by displaying your heart rate and giving instant feedback on your training intensity-- which will help you to avoid over or under training.

Polar Q & A

Q: How will a Polar Training Computer help my workout?

A: -It's an accurate way of understanding your body.

-It helps you to workout at the right intensity so you get the most out of your routine and time.

-Encourages motivation as you can see your progress and monitor development.

-Provides you with useful info such as calories burned and recovery status.

Currently using an F11 and I love it. It's my second Polar Heart Rate Monitor and I got this model to use the customized training program. It helps me stay motivated and consistent with my workouts. I've dropped 25 pounds (and kept it off!).

7 years ago I was 40lbs over weight and not fit. I began walking and running . A friend of mine lead me to triathlon and I bought my first Polar HR monitor. I have used my Polar HR monitor ever since. I began with a sprint distance triathlon. I have since moved onto Olympic distance. triathlons. My favorite. I do 4-6 a year. I have lost 40 lbs, and I am very fit. 28 days after my 50th birthday I completed my first Ironman in 15:53. My polar monitor is a training and racing tool I depend on. It has

I have never been into running at all - unfit, I would jog 300 metres up the road, give up and walk home. August 2008, I was watching the Beijing Olympic Marathon and decided to do a Marathon! I bought a Polar F11 which was the best motivation tool to get me started and for the 8 months of training. I lost 12kg in 6months. In July this year I ran my first ever Marathon (or any run!) in 3hrs:49min. Running and my polar HRM have changed my life dramatically. Can't imagine life without it.

The polar is a great training computer while I do my daily workouts. Wouldn't be without it.
