A BRIEF OVERVIEW Events: The Post-News Colorado Colfax Marathon includes a full marathon (26.2 miles), a half marathon (13.1 miles) and a 5-person team relay (individual legs of 10K, 5K, 10K, 5K, and 12K) New Course: Based on runner feedback and with expert help from a runners’ advisory group, we have redesigned the racecourses. We have a single start/finish for the marathon and half-marathon, no hard hills at the end, more shade and great neighborhood diversity. There is no net elevation gain. The course is a USATF certified and sanctioned course and serves as a qualifier for the Boston Marathon. Start Time and Weather: All running races will begin at 6:00 am. The wheelchair championship will start at 5:55 am. Expect the temperature at the start to be in the 50s and 60s. Cancellation: Entry fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable. Sorry, no exceptions. Packet Pickup: Packets must be picked up in advance of the race during the Post-News Colorado Colfax Marathon Health and Fitness Expo. Stop by on Friday, May 16 from noon to 7:00 pm or on Saturday, May 17 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at Denver's City Park in Marathon Village. Transportation: The 2008 course starts and finishes in Denver’s City Park. There will be transportation from the start/finish to each relay exchange zone and from the relay exchange zone back to the start/finish.
