Commute Description
This is the first North South Passage with which I am reasonably comfortable for my commute to and from LIU C. W. Post from Baldwin. The route is closer to 14.5 miles. Teh North bound ride is slightly uphill most fo the way, the south bound is down. The Nrothern 2 miles includes some decent climbs near the University. The scary parts are Uniondale on Brookside, Earl Ovington Blvd, and MErchant's Concourse (there are decent shoulders most of this part) but the segments from Old COuntry Road North are GREAT AND WELL WORTH THE TRIP. You will pass the world famous 495 service road along the route and you can easily hop on. This route is much better than any of the others we have tried to get to 495.
