Description of this Run

Starting at the Oval Basin in Cardiff Bay, the run takes you past Techniquest and across the Butetown Link bridge over the River Taff. It then follows the River Ely to Penarth Road and heads to the outskirts of Penarth and along the new riverside developments on the south bank of the River Ely to Penarth Marina. Finally the route crosses Cardiff Bay Barrage, commanding great views out into the Bristol Channel and across the lagoon to Cardiff Bay, before returning past the Cardiff Bay visitor centre, the Norwegian Church and the National Assembly to the Oval Basin and the Millennium Centre.
