Hello I joined this site upon hearing about it from a young gal who is a great runner in High School.
I have studied Karate for many years but found it not enough to stay in shape. So recently I started working out at the gym. After one month of a very high intensive Cardio workout everyday that I established I was able to drop at least 20 lbs. Now I am almost back to my normal weight, this time working out to stay in shape!
Among Karate, I enjoy secondly cycling. I just started 2 weeks into it (June, 2008 early part) and was so happy that after mapping my last route which was around 24 miles I did this in 2 hours and was not tired at all nor winded. I love cycling so much I plan on doing longer runs in the future.
I am originally from Hawaii and my family there is very active in sports. Of course Hawaii having the great weather to do this. They enjoy playing ball, golfing and bowling.
My mom was a softball player when she was younger and great at it from what I heard.
