Green N'Hood Hustle

Saturday, July 21, 2012. 9AM. Come join the first neighborhood 5k run/walk to see what your neighbors have done to create a healthier and more sustainable environment. From vermiculture to compost toilets, the 5k (3.1 mi) run/walk participants will be running through the neighborhoods' most progressive properties while receiving cheers, informative signs and a neighborhood tour. The course is mostly flat and along the Horn Ln. Rd. All participants will receive free seeds; first come first serve. Top participants will receive a basket of newly-harvested produce. This event will be free, but a donation of $2-$3 would be appreciated! All participants will receive vegetable seeds; first come first serve. Also, due to the tomography of the event it is required you sign a waiver before participating in the event. Awards will be at 10:30.
