I was on the running team at school like 6 years ago but due to issues and moving; I gave up running. I wanna start again......but I cant run for 2 minutes straight without feeling like i am dying so what would be my best bet; to do intervals like 1 1/2 min running and 45 sec. walking or what?

Google Couch to 5K. "C25K" It has a great program to get into running.  Since you were a runner before, you may be able to speed it up a bit.  Good luck!

Starting is always hard. The important things are to stick with it, take it easy and walk when you need to. Many people start by running 2 minutes and walking 1. Good luck!

Sometimes it's a good idea to run with another person, and converse a bit while you run, it will keep you relaxed and not focused as much on the run.

For me, keeping my mind off the run works best for most distance runs. A good deal of fatigue can be controlled with your mental game.

Tell yourself good job after each run, keep a positive look on things even if they don't compare to your former bests. It's ok if you don't improve every day you go run, just keep working hard and maybe even research some tips on running form and try some things out. Eventually you'll get back in the groove of things and it'll be fun again! :-P
