Feature Requests: Use Homepage to notify user when site is broken

I just went to look at one of my saved runs and it was not available. The error said the that the street view was not avialible. I went to make a new run and the site got hung up when I tried to add my first point. Also the edit route feature does not always work. There should be some kind of notice at sign on that tells us what is not workning and an estimated repair time.
