by: barrylennox - Sep 28 2008, 12:52AM I am finding "phantom" hills when I apply elevation. Hills that I know just aren't there. I can ignore this on routes I know but how do I plan a ride on a new route. Another interesting thing is that one route I tried seven times, Most of the route was OK but at 3km and 5km there would sometimes be hills and sometimes not, and the when they were there they were different sizes. Does anyone how the elevation points are obtained. I download the information to Excel, standardise the distances and then put them into charts to compare new routes to those I already know.

The blue line was also better from the male color blind perspective.
A thick line with transparency would provide a line that stands out (presumably why it has been changed), but still allowing the information on the road to be visible.

by: ced53 - Aug 22 2008, 2:41PM The beta hangs on me so my 5 min to enter a route is lost time. Happens 2 of 2 tries so far.

by: TGD - Aug 13 2008, 9:17PM Independent of the color of the route, the heavy, wide red route color covers the road names making it very difficult to see the road names. The old method of using a thin blue line was much, much better. It showed the route while allowing the name of the route to be visible. Could we get the old method back?

by: Hugerat - Aug 5 2008, 10:41PM I love this site, but there are entirely too many bugs. I map a run and then click the out and back icon and the map registers 1 1/3 the milage with no reference to miles 1-4, only 5-11. Total milage for the run still registers 8, so I don't much care. Then I try to save it and it constantly prompts me to log back in. Once I've logged in, it deletes the run I've just entered. It's a vicious circle man!! Too bad, I think the site is great, but if these bugs aren't fixed I'll probably give up on it before long.

The red route is I guess perfect for most people. But 15% of males are color blind, the majority of those with red green deficiency.
This is unnecessarily unfriendly, as there are alternatives that can be used that will be as distinctive for people without color deficiency. (I cannot recall such a problem with Microsoft software, for example)
Could you please change the route color, or better, provide the user with the ability to change the color within the settings menu?
Regards
Brian

by: RunDave78 - Jul 21 2008, 9:53AM Still can't save routes. SO FRUSTRATING! I plot a really long route only to find that I can't save it. Please fix this. The new setup is so buggy, why did you have to change it? The old version worked fine. I think I might find a new site to log my workouts.

by: geezerjock - Jul 16 2008, 11:01AM Needed to edit a route ... went into edit mode after functionality was restored ... saved a copy to be safe ... copy save managed to save .6 miles out of the 80+ mile route ... decided to brave editing the original and cannot move any points ...
I keep hoping for the best but ...

by: ronboni - Jul 7 2008, 9:24PM Is there any way to build routes using the old version? I recently selected the new version only to find that I cannot save routes that appear to be longer than 20 miles. The route saves successfully in my profile, but when attempting to go into the detail and download to a GPS (Garmin Edge), I get a scripting error that warns that my system may slow down materially if the script continue to run. I select yes to cancel, and my route is truncated. I have built two different routes to the same result.
Any way to go back, browser is IE 7.0.57?
